Sunny Monday Morning! how's your weekend? Hope you had a good one.
I wasn't able to post an entry for The Sunday Currently series because I was so busy in the kitchen the whole day yesterday. We had a post birthday celebration for my daughter who just turned 6 this year. We initial had a different plan for her, but end up following her special requests instead. That is, to spend time with her Mama and Papa (grandparents) and cousins in Laguna.
She's the sweetest!
On her actual birthday, after school, I surprised her at home (she thought I was in the office) and her reaction was EPIC but we forgot to capture it on a video, super sayang...yung tawa, yakap, gulat at maluha luha pa siya. But she was elated knowing mommy and daddy were able to spend time with her on her birthday. We brought her to a department store and ask her to pick anything she wants. She initially pick 2 Barbie Lego boxes but end up leaving it on the shelves when she saw this super cheap fish hook toy. 600 vs 109 (in peso) she prefers the latter. I ask her why she pick the fishes, she said she already have lego, ayaw niya na ng disney princess (I wonder why bigla) kasi meron na din daw siya nun. She picked the fish hook toy kasi matagal na daw niya hinahanap yun! hahaha Meron narin siya nun dati, maliit nga lang, so dahil malaki na siya kaya kailangan malaki na rin yung huhulihin niyang fishes.. hahahaha...
Uhmmm, di naman namin siya tinitipid, pero siya mismo ang matipid at mababaw ang kaligayahan. Sinong hindi matutuwa dun? hahaha. Afterwhich we ate McDonalds and ordered her favorite Happy Meal. Basta may fries, juice at toy okay na sa kanya. Ayaw niya sa fancy restaurant. Ganito lang masaya na siya hehehe...

Hmmmm... Birthdays are the perfect moment to celebrate life and blessings. truly a special day to be reminded how Great is our God. For our daughter, we're proud seeing how she is becoming. Simple , sweet and revealing (yung character formation eh, nakaka proud). We are excited for her 7th birthday but for now I want her to enjoy her journey at six.
