FAB FINDS: FLOWER MANDALA INSPIRED PRINT (SM WOMEN COLLECTION)

Two weeks ago, I was invited to attend an awarding ceremony at Palms Alabang and this was something special because for the very first time (ha ha ha) I was able to witness my husband being recognized for having an excellent performance at work and to see how happy he is exchanging pleasantries with his managers is something that I am really proud of. 

And it is during this time that you have to make yourself presentable as well right? Besides I am his better half eh. But I was so busy during that week I only got limited time to think about what to wear for the occasion. Another thing, I recently removed some pieces from my wardrobe and I couldn't find anything to wear. I don't want to splurge much because it was not my moment either (ha ha ha). Ayaw naman natin mang-agaw ng eksena diba? Char! kasi para sa asawa ko ang moment na yun! I came there to support and show the world how proud I am to have husband like him. So I came up with a pretty simple attire that really falls on the smart casual category (I think so) dun ako sa safe, yung I won't go overdressed and not to get too casual as well. With a limited budget haha I decided to mix some of my old stuffs with the new ones. And so I settled to wear this outfit....

TALK ABOUT RED LIPSTICK (LUSTY RED)

As promised, I bought this Lusty Red lipstick from Ever Bilena's Matte collection just to give it a try. I wore it earlier this morning, while in the office so I've put a little face powder on my face and a mascara to compliment.

I must say that a red rich color lipstick is a statement itself. It is voluptuous and strong that you might not want to add more colors on your face anymore. So how do I feel about wearing this particular shade?

 

The LUSTY RED MATTE LIPSTICK.... Here's my take.

First,  Lusty Red makes my lower lip looks fuller, pretty nice for someone who has an uneven lip shape like mine. Secondly, it doesn't gave me this dry, flakey feeling but rather a smooth touch on my lips. Thirdly, it does stay a little longer than I thought so I do not need to re-apply it from time to time. 

I like it. However, I will not wear it on a daily basis. Another why?

Well basically because of the following reasons:

First, I expected red lipstick to enhance one's overall look. This shade though falls below my expectations. It doesn't flatter my morena skin (sad to say). Secondly, it stands on it's own more than I am (ha ha ha) for myself.. seriously! or should I say honestly.. Lastly, I am not young, I know, but wearing the shade made me look older (ha ha ha) than I am supposed to be.

My final verdict! Well. with my preferences and personality, I'd rather wear red lipstic on special or formal occasion.

So i'd still keep it... All good for now....

MY PERFECT MATTE - SIENNAS LIPSTICK BY EVER BILENA

Since my old Paint the Town Red lipstick doesn't give justice to my face anymore aside from the fact that it is more than half an inch remaining, I thought it would be okay to buy a new one (lol). So I particularly looked for the latest MATTE lipstick.

Good to know that my favorite local brand has produced a collection of Matte lipstick. Which brand it is?... of course - Ever Bilena.

LOL♥♥ LIPSTICK???

I am not an avid beauty cosmetics fan or an expert in this field so to speak but recently I found this new (at least for me) brand when I came across in one of the display rack inside SM BF Parañaque department store and thought this particular brand deserves some good recognition. A lipstick brand named "LOL" funny isn't it?... it means Lots of LOVE. I first saw this name embossed on a nail polish bottle before but i didn't give so much attention on it until last week...

I was scheduled to buy myself a new powder foundation and lipstick is not on my list. I still have three (in different color) on hand but you know as they always say "girls will be girls" so I end up buying a new one. Honestly having a morena skin, I have a difficulty in choosing what lipstick color will fits well on me and on my face. Through the years, my lipstick collection revolves in three variations only, namely shades of nude, orange and red mostly glossy in effect. I was kind of hesitant to try LOL Lipsticks at first, but since it took my curiosity already and no one is pushing me anyway (which I appreciate more)having all the freedom to decide and try out each color. For the first time in many years I think I have found my perfect match with LOL Lipstick.
