Planning for a reunion was never easy. Like what I've mentioned on my last post, it requires humongous work and demands time. In our experience we really have to squeeze our schedule together so we can meet and make most of our limited time to prepare the event.

PRE EVENT PLANNING (ASSEMBLY OF YELLOW HEARTS - PART 1)

Witnessed the joyful years of our childhood at school.

I'm back!!! Char..he he. I just came from a three day leave co'z I got sick and it's not something I am happy about. Anyways, though feeling still a little unwell I am thankful that I am starting to get back on my usual routine and hopefully, things will get better in the coming days.

Anyhow I am picking up the pieces from my last post. Today, I'll share the details of how we were able to assemble our Vicennial (Elementary) Reunion from scratch. In case you are thinking about holding one for your batch yet unsure on how to go about it. I hope by reading this, I will be able to help you out. ;) Heads up, it requires humongous work but with proper planning, visualization, management and execution I am sure you and your group will be able to nail it too.

THE ASSEMBLY OF YELLOW HEARTS (A REUNION WITH A CAUSE)

Okay, so this blog entry is supposed to be telling you the climax of my 2016 but I honestly don't know where to begin (geesssshhh). So I guess, I need to make a different entry on how we were able to come up with a homecoming event. As it did consume a lot of time, works, and brainstorming that are totally worth sharing and noteworthy. This post is mostly about my perspective on our recently concluded Vicennial Reunion at CVES Campus last December 3, 2016.

A CELEBRATION WITH A BANG!

I attempted to cross out something from my bucket list this year. Luckily I have a husband who knew exactly what to do to help me accomplish it. So for the last straw of my birthday celebration this year we visited BUCOR FIRING RANGE at Muntinlupa and did a practical shooting for the very first time in my life. What makes it more special was that my husband arranged everything to make it happen.

My interest about shooting came out of curiosity. I wanted to experience and learn the real deal about shooting responsibly and gun safety. I also wanted to overcome my fears (of some sort) and test my limits.

BEAT THE HEAT AT SOUTHPICK RESORT

I wished for a day of relaxation and my wish was granted on the second day of the celebration. To beat the heat that day we took ourselves to Southpick Resort at Sta. Rosa Laguna. See our simple water splash celebration and know more about the resort.  

FOREVER YOUNG AT HEART - VISITING DREAMPLAY AT CITY OF DREAMS MANILA

My birthday this year falls on a weekday, since I have been granted to take a leave from work I made sure to go to interesting places which I haven't been to. Since City of Dreams Manila is new and offers entertaining activities for kids we opted to visit the place for the first time. MY AWESOME 31ST!

It's been a week since my birthday but I feel I've been caught up in the euphoria of my recent experiences. It was such an awesome celebration with lots of fun and discoveries and so I thought of sharing the details with you. I feel so blessed and privileged because God really make things possible. I was looking forward to have a very private, quiet yet exciting and fun celebration for my 31st. It was far from grandeur but the experiences was worth remembering.

IN MEMORY OF MY LAPTOP

My old laptop for seven years has already gave up on me and with a heavy heart I know I had to let it go. Pardon me, if I sounded materialistic here but that wasn't the case.

Let me put it this way, when I look at my old laptop it brings back some good old memories. It reminded me of an essential phase in my life and that what makes it noteworthy.

BOODLE FEAST - BOODLE FIGHT! (MAMA'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION)

Mama's birthday is one of our most anticipated family gathering. It started in 2011 when we throw a simple celebration for her at home. A year after 2012 we went out of town for some swimming activity. On the third year, we spent and celebrated her birthday in Tagaytay with what my niece called "field trip" because we have visited Tagaytay tourist spots, eat and play at tagaytay park and enjoyed our moment at NUVALI. Last year, we had our family official photo shoot.

MY BLOGGING MILESTONES

Creating a blog was a part of my (goal) "things to achieved" on my so called #roadgoing30. I was blessed to be able to achieved it prior my birth month last year. I started signing up with blogspot owning mmtanguanco.blogspot.com for six (6) months. It was exciting at the beginning but challenges restrain me to move forward. The feeling was like riding a ferries wheel for the first time. However, there were some (great) factors that kept me stay in blogosphere. And yet now it is humbling to see that my blog has reached a milestone.

Valentines day are widely celebrated in our country. Though not considered as a public holiday you'll find a tremendous crowd lining up to have their way inside the restaurants, movie houses, flower shops or gift shops and more. However think about it, you know how most (if not all) businesses works during this time offering services or products in an extremely high price, let say bouquet of flowers, anyone?

A GOOD massage is something that I've been longing to have for so long. I've been experiencing some pains on my back, neck and shoulder area for quite some time now and my husband would frequently hear my complains about it and we usually relied on an electric massager help. I felt like I am carrying the weight of the world upon my shoulder (literally) and my muscles were already freaking out one by one from the inside. As a first time mom, any significant event on my child's development makes me ecstatic especially when she turned ONE. We felt so blessed and grateful to have her in our lives so we decided to throw a BIG ONE party for her. It wasn't extravagant but I can say that it was indeed an awesomely beautiful and budget friendly celebration. KENZIE THE EXPLORER: TRICK OR TREAT EVENT 2014

Trick or treat events are almost everywhere since the yearly celebration of Hallow Eve's or All Saint's Day are coming. Decades ago it wasn't really as highly commercialized as it is now and the reason of throwing such event had evolved in many ways. You'll see kids and adults alike are excited to attend one whether it may be held on a house party, at the community clubhouses, offices, malls and even hotels. They all have their own share of Halloween themed party almost, if not every year. 

On Memory Lane: THE QUEEN OF HEARTS (HALLOWEEN PARTY)

A year ago, we have attended our very first Trick or Treat Party at Fun Ranch Alabang. As a first time mom who haven't had experience this kind of event myself, I decided to bring my then 28th month old girl to the party. Turns out the preparation was way more exciting and stress free than the party itself. Nevertheless, I'd still find a chunk of notable things to share about the experience.

For sure, I was just one of those millions who felt bad when the news broke. A man full of wisdom and funny lines could never have done it to himself and then caught myself asking why, how did it happen? I even told my husband it might be just one of those not so funny bluffs or celebrity hoax, the sad part is when you realized its not and that funny face might have struggled for many years to hold on to life, struggling to live and survive. The star maybe gone but the light it shone to the world will forever be remembered. Good bye Genie...

I came across this blogger contest in Nuffnang last May asking about a plan to make summer with the family a worth while and unforgettable bonding experience and the lucky winner will take home a Monde Mamon It Yourself Kit. I got excited not just about the prize but mostly of the bonding moment I imagine we will be having during the activity. I wrote my piece and send my entry to Nuffnang.
