INEXPENSIVE WAYS TO CELEBRATE V-DAY

Valentines day are widely celebrated in our country. Though not considered as a public holiday you'll find a tremendous crowd lining up to have their way inside the restaurants, movie houses, flower shops or gift shops and more. However think about it, you know how most (if not all) businesses works during this time offering services or products in an extremely high price, let say bouquet of flowers, anyone?

My husband and I, we are not a huge fan (of extravagant celebration) but we respect the tradition and of how others celebrate it the way they want it. But on my personal view there are economical yet fun ways to celebrate V-Day. Stingy as it may seem but I rather choose to be more practical than become empty handed the next day. Remember V-Day falls right after pay day and on weekend this year. So here are my thoughts on how you, together with your husband, kids or love ones can celebrate "ARAW ng mga Puso" inexpensively:

AT HOME
- A candlelight dinner with your husband at home
- A movie date at your very own home (Watch your favorite romantic movie together)
- Bake a cake of love for everyone to eat and share
- Prepare a special dish you both love
- Write a short and simple love notes and pick flowers from your backyard. (Or from your kapit-bahay's garden, make sure to ask permission, okay).
- Organized a Spa day at home or at your friend's house
- A stargazing night at the rooftop or at the back yard

AWAY FROM HOME
- A picnic in a public park with your love ones - grab some fruits or make some sandwiches and juice and pack it inside your picnic baskets.
- Grab those coupons and dine at your chosen restaurant/ fast food.
- Allow yourself and your love ones to be entertained with the free shows and concerts at the mall activity area.
- Visit mini trades and exhibits for discounted and promotional offers.
- A walk, jogging or bike at the park with love ones - good for your heart.

Ideas are limitless. It is up to you on how you will make it more personalized, fun and memorable.

Now if you didn't wish to spend a single penny during the V-Day, just at least spread the love and good vibes to everyone you come across with. Wear your smile along with your favorite clothing in shades of pink or red because valentines in modern times are not for couples alone but for everyone to share and celebrate.

How about you? How do you plan to celebrate V-Day?
