FORGET ME NOT TRAVEL ESSENTIALS

Okay so I am here again, active ko no? I've been missing HK kasi pag pasensyahan nyo na first time ko kasi dun eh hehehe.. and I don't know where the energy is coming from kahit na medyo masama na naman pakiramdam ko, eh I still have the energy and positive mind to write so itotodo ko na to, minsan lang ito eh hahaha....

Okay so going back...

On my previous post I have mentioned how we were able to prepare our things. I called it "light and easy" pack. But I haven't fully explained it well yet. So tonight I am presenting to you my simple tool on how we were able to pack all of our personal belongings without a need to check and pay for extra baggage.

Charan......

This piece of paper makes our preparation/ packing easier. I have created this Travel Essential list that serves as a reminder for us not to forget anything (except for the comb), haist, hehehe. Moreover, it also helps us screen and pack necessary items only.

Results? We're free from paying excess baggage "add on" fees at the airport. We've carried a light backpack (with everything we need, without suffering from back pains) for mobility purpose. No waiting time at check in lane since we do not need to check in any luggage.

This is a very simple travel essential guide. Items are categorize and divided into groups. It is very comprehensible and easy to follow. All you need to do is to put a check (◘) the items you need to bring and crossed out what's not.

☼TIPS
- it is best to lay your things on a flat form (e.g bed) where you can view everything clearly. Grab or collect your things one by one, lay it down. Start following the guide, once you take hold of the item, check it from the list(box) and finally settle, keep and organize it inside your bag.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS BOX
○ Start with travel document since it is the most important of all. Place it on an organizer where you can easily pick up anything you need without hassle. Check it one by one according to sequence.

TRAVEL OUTFIT BOX

○ You might be wondering why I write down Day 1, day 2 and so on... instead of writing my outfit on details.
-Simply because our outfit preferences differs. I simply cannot dictate which clothes you need to bring. So the decision is yours, but then again this is a pack light and easy technique so as much as possible grab or prepare clothes that are also light to carry but still is comfortable to wear.

☼TIPS
○ Choose clothes that will match your preferences and with the weather of the country you are going to. This must go hand in hand. Also see accu-weather for more accurate weather updates from time to time.
○ Wear comfortable  footwear. If you can choose only one footwear than will match all of your outfit the better. Disposable slippers are provided by most Hotels.
- There are so many places to go to in Hong Kong and or Macau. Most of it requires long walking, so bring or wear what suits well on you. AGAIN! COMFORTABLE FOOTWEAR IS A MUST.
 ○ Bring jacket but not the heavy one. Hong Kong's weather during our travel (MARCH) is at 18 Degree. It was cold but not that freezing cold so I only bring one jacket and a scarp. Most of my tops were long sleeves which I match with jeans.
○ Don't forget your undershirts... do I need to say more? hahaha

Example: Day 1 Outfit Set
- Sets of underwear
- Top (Long sleeve)
- Bottom (Jeans)
- Handkerchief
- A pair of Socks

We've separate our complete outfit for Day 1.. 2..3.. My husband has his own back pack and I have mine so it was easier for us to move around and keep our things in place. Each set of clothes were kept on a resealable polythene zip (lock) bag. Reuse the bag to keep our used clothes at the end of the day.

TRAVEL AND CONNECT BOX

On this travel, we brought different cameras. Action camera, Dslr, point and shoot camera and our mobile phone cameras. However most of it are small and handy (not longer than 10 cm) except DSLR. If you have a camera that can do all purpose of what I have mentioned above... ah eh IKAW NA! hahaha... kidding, if you have it, the better ☺ Since our travel is all about leisure and sightseeing, heavy selfies, landscape, city space photos are well taken care of. (Wink)

Going back to the list, don't forget to bring the charger for all your gadgets. We didn't bring any adapters and found out the hotel has a European electrical sockets but good thing they lend us 2 pieces of universal adapters. We've returned it to them upon check out.

BEAUTY ESSENTIALS BOX

A lipstick, face powder and blush on serves enough for me. Based on experience, you don't need all these when you are going to a country with cold weather pala... hahaha.... A lip balm, a moisturizer will do. I feel I am wearing a cold mask all throughout our trip (haha) ang sarap lang ng feeling! Di ka mapapawisan dahil malamig, yung lamig na tipong di nakakasakit ng ulo kasi natural eh. But then again, it's okay if you wish to wear make up din naman it's up to you if you want or not. Kanya - kanyang preference din yan. :) di po ako makikielam promise (wink). Pero syempre, less is more :)

TOILETRIES ESSENTIALS BOX

The items listed on the piece of paper are optional. You may remove and replace the item if deemed necessary. Most of hotels will provide you basic toiletries - toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, soap, hairbrush..etc etc. Most of what we need were provided to us by Rambler. I forgot to bring a comb but we didn't mind to buy one, since they have an automatic hair dyer in the bathroom so that serves so much better for us. Hehehe

END NOTES

That's about it. If you wish to use this as reference go ahead. It's printable and for free. This particular essential guide was made purposely for our HK Travel. I might do more of this soon. Hope it helps! Xiexie
