MY FIRST LOOM BAND BRACELET CREATION (Learning tricks from my Nieces)

Yesterday I was able to spend time with my nieces back in my hometown and as always it was such a fun afternoon being around with the kids. They taught me how to make my own Loom bands bracelet. Now I found it funny since I never really thought of finding myself doing such because I have this mindset "come on, leave it for the kids" and yes once again I prove myself wrong.

I first learned about Loom bands on Pinterest and with a tagline "Loom bands a popular hit in the US for 2013" but I didn't bother to check the details because of the following reasons: first, it was just another typical rubber bands intended for kids and secondly because it's already half year for 2014. Now I realized it wouldn't be called such, for nothing right? and so I thought... Late summer this year when we saw a stall at the mall being mobbed around by people and so we checked what the craze is all about and told myself after "Oh, the rubber band thing".

All of my thoughts about it changes just yesterday. My nieces started to have their moment of silence (of course not 100%) they put some colorful bands out and started doing their thing. Now when they started talking about patterns and terms that I totally have ZERO knowledge of.. that was the turning point.. LOL... Funny it may sound but yes, I asked them to teach me how to do it, the first attempt was like I was speaking at the thin air and did my second attempt (now with a quite a louder voice) by asking again if they can tell me how it is being done. At last one of them started to entertain my inquiries and the rest followed telling me what to do next, what the hook is for and even give me some ideas what combination is best hahaha... kids...

Finally, after such a remarkable discussion I found myself busy doing my very first loom band creation, well the basic pattern of course. I found it amusing so I made two.... I have to contain myself because I might finish all the loom bands in no time. I made one for me and the other for my hubby.

Never underestimate the power of Loom band... hahahahaha..

Always happy being around the kids...
