MEET SGT. SISIG

Two Sundays ago, my hubby and I agreed to have an afternoon snack at the mall and as usual we ended pigging out instead. We had siomai courtesy of Siomai House partnered with refreshing gulaman. We tried ODD Balls Kikiam Balls for a change (since fish ball were already sold out). We were about to finished our merienda, when we incidentally saw this new food stall named SGT. SISIG at the farthest corner of the food court. Since it's new (at least for the both of us) we agreed to try it out.

The store has this Fatigue (Army- green and brown) patterns (somehow tells me that you needed to have a strong taste buds to eat Sisig). They have Pork, Chicken and Tuna Sisig Meal which you can avail for single and barkada order. They also have this tastefully prepared Black Gulaman that I like. I ordered chicken sisig and told my husband to order pork sisig so we can try both. I don't know what happened because he served both Chicken Sisig on our table (natakot sa putok batok na pork sisig! lol).

The chicken sisig with steamed plain rice was all good, it wasn't too dry or sticky. I did taste a small amount of mayonnaise being used (if I am not mistaken) and the generous amount of green pepper and onion made the taste real strong. It was served in a black plate with soy sauce and Calamansi too. My hubby once commented that it would be more appetizing if served on a sizzling plate but to me it wasn't necessary unless of course it was categories under Sizzling Sisig lol. The price of the meal are affordable too (55.00 Php and up) Busog sarap na rin! Before we proceeded to our real business that day we dropped by to our favorite dessert bar - Dairy Queen for some deliciously mixed blizzard ice cream in rocky road and double dutch flavors. It was a such a fun and full (bloated) afternoon date for us... lol...
