THE PREPARATION
I find pleasure in dressing up my girl so I decided to have her outfit to look cute than scary. I'd chose Queen of Hearts for her (inspired from a movie Alice in Wonderland) I had some ideas on my mind so I immediately sketch the design and send it to my mom for sewing. The rest of the other stuff I prepared myself (stage mother in the making, lol). Check out the photos below.
THE OUTFIT
DRESS: Well, the heart was originally a part of a hair ribbon which I bought for only 25 Php/each. I just remove it from the bond and hand sew it on the dress.
CANDY BUCKET: Bought from toy kingdom for only 50 Php. Added some white and red cloth feathers around which was about 20 Php/meter from a craft store. Printed the word "OFF with his Head" famous line of the Queen on a black sticker and place it on the bucket.
BRACELET: Beads came from what's left from my craft supplies. I let my mind and hands to worked and create this original pattern and started looping each beads altogether.
SHOES: I bought from a kids store for only 120.00 Php. Add some garter (10 Php per meter) at the middle of it to secure my girl feet while walking around.
SOCKS: The black and white Stripe socks bought for only 50 Php, sewed the laces from the original heart hair ribbon.
WAND: The stick was basically made from a cloth stick (panunkit ng damit) for only 40 Php and the heart shape piece was originally a pair of plate holder made of thick sponge for only 25 Php.
TINY CROWN: Bought another pair of hair clips with red and white dots curly ribbon for 50 Php/pair and glued the tiny golden yellow crown that were made from a spare gold carton box from home.
I was so happy to see how the costume turned out and the photo below shows how my daughter loves her outfit.

THE PROGRAM PROPER
When we arrived at the venue the registration were not yet open. There were lots of big kids running around, tumbling inside the play area and so we thought on saving Mckenzie's Play stub for some other day (which by the way we didn't use until it expired). We roam around the place up to the second floor just to check out what was up and found the function room where the program took placed (we took the time to conquer the free stage for photo op hehehe). One of the staff approached us and told us to register and eat our snack. I remember putting my girl's name on #5 list under Cutest Costume Category for the costume contest, I just didn't know what happened during the program. I still wonder why her name wasn't called in all three categories (that basically explain why our excitement were cut short). The snack was a spaghetti-chicken meal with Ice tea and a free ice cream on the sides. Some of the booths offered pop corn and cotton candies. They set up a Faber Castell's coloring area right outside the function room but with limited seats available. There's no one assisting the kids except for their parents and guardians and nobody was announcing what to do next or what activity to do while waiting so it is more of like you are on your own. Oh I have to mention we saw a Cherifer Mascot giggling and checking on the kids for quite a while and that was it. I just wished the activities or program were more organized that day but nevertheless it still was a memorable Halloween Party for us. We did not finish the program because it's getting late so we leftjust in time when McKenzie was starting to throw her tantrums. Also instead of listening to the program host, my daughter and some other kids suited themselves inside a ball pool and the slide almost all the time. LOL
At the time we were already walking out of the venue she grabs our hands and started doing some baby talk. I didn't argue about the program anymore especially when I saw how happy my little girl was. Looking back I realized the experience had taught us to become more appreciative and grateful for the gift of life more than just the meaning of Halloween Celebration itself.
