WEEKEND TROPICAL DESSERT TREAT

Weekends are my favorite! not only did I get to spend quality time with my family but also I had ample time to think and prepare some of the good recipes I know. The weather was undeniably (freaking) hot in the last few days so I decided to make another easy to prepare dessert for some refreshing afternoon treat.

INGREDIENTS:

Creamy Tropical Fruit Salad

1 can tropical fruit cocktail
2 250 ml All Purpose Cream
1 can condensed milk
1/2 cup small sago pearl
3 cups shredded fresh buco strips
1 Tsp pandan flavoring

PROCEDURE:

Cooking Sago Pearl.

In a small casserole, pour in about two cups of water and bring to boil. Pour in small sago pearl and cook for about 10 mins. Mix sago constantly to prevent from sticking at the bottom and together (Med - setting). Partially cover the casserole. Once sago become translucent turned of the fire, cover it and allow to cook sago pearl further on its own for about 2-3 minutes. Rinse with running water and drain excess water. Set aside.

(or simply follow cooking procedure at the back of the sago packaging.)

MIXING

Prepare a clean bowl, pour in drained fruit cocktail mix. Add all purpose cream, condensed milk and shredded buco altogether. Add a tsp of pandan flavoring and use spatula to mix. Lastly, pour in cooked pearls and add it gradually with the rest of the mixture. Put inside the fridge and let it cool.

Serve and enjoy your Creamy Tropical Fruit Salad!
