ORDINARY DAY TURNED EXTRAORDINARY WITH FISH FILLET SERVINGS!

I am quite tired of preparing same recipes almost every week and I wanted to eat some appetizing food for the weekends just for a change so when I went to Shop wise Alabang last Saturday I was lucky enough to bring home Cream Dory from a buy one - take one promo. Yesterday, I was in the mood to prepare Fish Fillet for the first time and our plate has been emptied in no time (so I guess it was a success, lol).

I always thought fish fillet is such a complicated dish to prepare. I mostly find it being served during special occasions. Correct me if I am wrong, cream dory alone can get really expensive that why most of the time I skipped buying it (budget freak mom, I am.. lol). Preparing dishes that are new (at least) to me is such a refresher that I feel the need (ha ha) to share it with you too (if you may).

Here is my simple illustration of how I manage to cook Fish fillet without spending too much time in the kitchen and how it turned an ordinary day... EXTRAORDINARY!

INGREDIENTS

FISH FILLET

120 grams Cream Dory Fish Fillet
2 pieces of eggs
1 Small Pack of Bread Crumbs
Salt & Pepper to taste

DIP (MUSTARD & PEPPER FLAVOR)
Mayonnaise (Plain)
Mustard (Mc Cor mick)
Salt & Pepper

PROCEDURES:
Cooking Fish Fillet
1. Remove fish fillet from packaging and wash it well it with running water. Start cutting the meat lengthwise (finger-like size) and sprinkle a pinch of salt after.
2. On a bowl, beat two pieces of egg and add a pinch of salt and pepper. Dip finger-like cut fish fillet into the bowl let it sit for about 1 to 2 minutes to further absorb the first coating.
3. Prepare a clear container and pour a small amount of bread crumbs. One by one put fish fillet strips but make sure to put an allowance in between. Cover the container a top and start shaking it, so the bread crumbs are equally divided to the meat. Do this with the rest of the remaining strips.
4. Prepare a clean wok or frying pan and start heating it with oil. Once heated, submerge coated fish strips into it and start deep frying. Once you see the strips are already golden brown on both sides, using a tong remove each strips from the oil and further remove excess oil using a strainer or tissue paper.
5. Perfectly serve while it's hot together with your choice of dip.

Making a Flavored Dip
Pepper Dip:
1. Add Mayo, a pinch of salt and pepper, mix and blend well.
Mustard Dip:
2. Mayo, a pinch of salt and Mustard, blend well and mix until the color turned almost canary yellow.

Serve with hot steamed rice! Crunchy and smooth in texture. Have a happy lunch!
