Yay! three weeks ago I promised to share with you some of my random jelly made recipes and now that I am not that busy anymore I am happy that I was able to get back on blogging and I get to prepare good recipes again. I had prepared this not too sweet, yet incredibly delicious and healthy dessert the other night and I am happy to share it with you.
Here are the ingredients that you need to prepare:
439g Fruit Cocktail Mix (Seasons Tropical Fruit Cocktail)
24g Mr. Gulaman (White - Lychee Flavored)
Procedures on how to cook gelatin:
1. Simply follow the instruction found at the back of the packaging.
In my case though, I preferred to lessen the amount of water so I can achieved a fluffy kind of gelatin. Instead of 6 cups of water I pour in 5 cups on the casserole. Pour in gelatin powder and mix it using a wire whisk. To further dissolved the powder, I brought it into boil for about 4-5 minutes in medium setting flame. Once the water became viscous I remove it from heat and let it sit at room temp. (to further remove the heat).
2. Prepare clean molding cups (available in different shapes) and drained fruit cocktail mix. Scoop gelatin mixture and pour inside all the molding cups (about half of the cup (5 scoops). Scoop at least two tablespoon of fruit cocktail and fill the cups together with the gelatin liquid. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes at room temperature before putting it inside the chiller (not freezer).
3. Allow to let it cool for 30 to 45 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
*To make it more appetizing for kids, you may want to used a molding cups or wares that varies in shapes or sizes.
*If you want your gelatin to be a little stiff you may lessen the amount of water.
*I chose a translucent gelatin so that the colors of fruit mix inside will be visibly enticing.
