A KID AGAIN (VISITING BAGUIO CATHEDRAL AND PLAYING AROUND BURNHAM PARK)

Our Lady of the Atonement Cathedral
Third Day means the last day of our vacation at Baguio City. We woke up early to catch and visit yet another places of interest in the city. Our fist stop - the PINK CATHEDRAL. We haven't seen the Cathedral once before so it was definitely a part of the itinerary. From vantage point we went directly to the Cathedral and in our surprised it wasn't Pink as we thought or as the last time we saw it in the photos from the internet but it's okay. The front part of the church was painted with cream and blue paint although the sides were still in pink. We pay respect and say a little prayer then we headed to KFC to have our breakfast. We initially planned to visit BEN CAB but we were advised by the taxi drivers that the road going to ASIN was still under construction and that traffic was still as heavy two days ago (due to Mining Convention Event) so we opted to spend the rest of our remaining time in Baguio playing around and exploring Burnham Park.

THE BURNHAM PARK

This particular play area was having a repaint during our visit

Aside from rich culture, wonderful weather and scenic view at Baguio the city also provides numerous parks for recreation and the best part about it - it's free to the public. The playground in particularly was very well maintained and you feel safe with letting your kid play around whenever they wish to.

Burnham Park Lake and Viewing Deck

The semi natural lake at the Burnham park remains one of the most known recreational activity you can do at the park, it was my first time to realize that it actually has a viewing deck (haven't seen it before). If you feel like to ride a boat there are many boat rental services around the lake for a certain fee, you may avail of the service of the boatman or go on your own.

It is a part of the itinerary to do biking in Baguio City, we wanted to feel like a kid again so we accompanied our little girl for this activity. (lol) The fee is around P 50.00 for an hour. You will see a number of vendors selling toys, balloons, food and souvenirs at the park. My daughter saw a man selling Dora balloon so she asked her dad to buy one while I am all good with the cotton candy savoring every minutes of it.

We visited one of many playground at Burnham Park and we're glad we did. More than our kid I think it was me and her dad who really enjoyed and appreciate the park.

It was a fun filled three day vacation for me and my family and we were so blessed to have celebrated our 13th Year anniversary in one of the best tourist destination in the country. It was fun to discover and explore new things together with family, laughing, singing and playing around like a kid again so carefree and real.

I guess.. we left our ♥s in Baguio..... :)
