I look forward to weekends not only because I got time to relax and be with my two kulets (hubby and daughter) but also I got to spend some time in the kitchen (to experiment) and prepare a special meal for them. Just like this morning my husband requested for Chicken Kebab and the results were phenomenal (lol, he loves it). Then just an hour ago, my daughter and I spent a play and learn moment together while preparing for some luscious recipe we call CHOCO-PEANUT MELTS.
It is an easy to prepare recipe that you and your kids will love (promise!) and is definitely a must try. Let me share with you the details of how we were able to make this luscious Choco-Peanut melts.
INGREDIENTS
3-4 tbsp Peanut Butter
1/4 Cup of Chocolate Chips
SUPPLIES
Silicon Molder (Shaper)
Spoon/ Spatula
Bowl
Hot water
PROCEDURES
1. Melt chocolate chips in a clean bowl. I use the traditional way of melting chocolate by using hot water underneath the bowl to avoid scorching and it would be easier to scrape chocolates on the sides. (walang sayang)
The chocolate chips were left overs from my last weeks recipe. I bought it at SM Supermarket for 129 Php. Since I am using 1/4 of it that's an equivalent of 32.25 Php |
Blended peanut butter and chocolates |
3. Once mixture are ready. Bring out the shaper/molder and fill it up one by one.
I bought this cuties for only 88 Php at Japan Home |
Quiet please: My little chef is quite busy. |
Glossy mixture (not yet chilled) |
4. Finally, time to chill them in the refrigerator for about 20 to 30 minutes.
These are the photos BEFORE & AFTER. You will see the difference and you'll know when it is all ready.
Sprinkled chocolate chips on top of the mixture (This photo was taken before I put them on the chiller; still glossy and soft) BEFORE |
After 20 minutes chilling time, the mixture became matte in texture. AFTER |
5. Remove each one from the silicon molder/shaper. Serve, EAT & ENJOY!
THE FINAL PRODUCTConsume right away! It tastes like REESE Chocolates :) We love it! |
