My old laptop for seven years has already gave up on me and with a heavy heart I know I had to let it go. Pardon me, if I sounded materialistic here but that wasn't the case.
Let me put it this way, when I look at my old laptop it brings back some good old memories. It reminded me of an essential phase in my life and that what makes it noteworthy.
The matte black laptop with a story to tell, I may say. It was my first prized possession, it helped me a lot during the budding years of my career as an auditor. I didn't mind how heavy it was, I have no complains carrying it even if had to walk thru the crowded streets of Ortigas every after office hours, braving the steep overpass along EDSA. It became my travel buddy and from then on it has been a friendly gadget to me. It serves as my assistant during those nerve wrecking presentations and report deadlines. It was a product of my hard earned money, a representation of my (fulfilled) dreams from years ago.
But then again, I know it was just a gadget and soon it will depreciate and so it does.... It has lost its functionality while my aspirations shifted too.
Thank you and farewell, you have served your master well....
Moving on.... ☻
