TRAVEL AND TAKE NOTES (DIY TRAVEL JOURNAL)

My travel history began six years ago when I had a privilege  to work as an auditor in one of the largest pizza company in the country. It was the first time that I got to travel different regions of our beautiful country. It was also the first time that I got to ride a plane, a fast ferry and a huge barge. I travel alone most of time and it was during those days that I got to appreciate traveling. Though 99% are work related, I still managed to enjoyed and loved the whole experience. I think it has a huge effect on me which later on transformed me from being a certified homebody to becoming a traveler.

Waze and google maps were not as popular back then, even blogging was not as huge as today. So during those years I rely mainly in regional maps (printed/booklet type being sold in bookstores) and advises (from my bosses) for directions. I have no other choice but to study the streets and try to be familiar with the routes using conventional maps before my every flight (we come to store by surprise, unannounced audit). I saved important details from notes in my mobile phone and delete it once I am done. I took pictures of some of my travels with the use of my camera but wan'st able to save most of it when friendster shuts down (sad.) So basically point and shoot camera and regional maps were included in my travel essentials. That probably explains why I am a better in reading conventional map than reading or following google map.  :P

So thinking about all these, I must say I regret not having a travel journal back then. I had missed a lot of important details and learning from my travels. Most were left unwritten and forgotten. Pero ika nga nila hindi pa huli ang lahat! Now that I got the chance to travel more often and which are not work related at all, I will not make the same mistake again. I decided to make my own travel journal where I can write down everything I want to take note of. Taaaaanannnnn....

My Diy Travel Journal - made from the conventional old regional maps (from my collection) and old lyrics notebook (previous pages will not be remove as it was all praising songs). Use the map as covering put a letter sticker on it and there it is a project so simple yet with great significance.

Looking forward for my next travel adventure and start taking notes...
