OUR MONDE MAMON IT YOURSELF BONDING EXPERIENCE

On my previous post entitled A DAY IN MY LIFE  I promised to share with you about the activity we will be doing for the prize I got from winning in a blog contest. Today is a perfect day to write about it so timely for my so called #WinningWednesday ☺

How was it? you might ask..

Let me put it this way, our usual merienda time became such a fun filled afternoon and the energy was just so high it created a happy atmosphere and noise all across the room. To recap what happened that day, I'll be sharing some of the photos taken during our bonding activity (let the picture speak for itself, lol).

The Moment of Truth (lol) when I finally got my KIT! (with giggle.. hahahaha)

I'm not the only one who gets excited about it... look!

She couldn't contain her excitement when she saw what's inside the box (you'll hear wow, ye.. ey and chocolate every now and then) and couldn't figured out which container to open first (lol).
Daddy excitedly scream Kenzie look at the Camera!
(Every now and then) haha..

How can one resist to capture this moment when you got to see your child genuinely smile in front of the camera. For sure I planned how the activity will go about but funny, neither my husband nor I was not prepared of the chaos (lol). Mommy became the instructor/slash/follower, daddy became the official photographer and the little girl became the artist (lol).

Okay so while "McKenzie the Artist" was busy checking out the kit, her dad got a chance to capture a picture of each item included (souvenir). Did you know that we needed to ask permission first from the little Artist before we could even take a photo of it.(Groan and wink)

So... WHAT'S INSIDE THE BOX?

BOOKLET

Monde MIY Booklet consists of pages designed to assist you and give you some ideas on how to decorate your Mamon. I even followed the instruction in making an icing with dutch mill recipe and truly it tastes so good! Promise! Another tool was a set of pasty bag and tips to help you style the cream on top of your Special Mamon. Aside from the icing you may use other spread such as peanut butter or jam to put on top of Mamon.

TOOLS a set of colorful and inviting tools such as spatula (2 pieces), spoons (4 pieces) and a metal wire whisk to help you in creating your whip (if in case you don't have a mixer available at home).

THE TOPPINGS

The different toppings: including choco chips, candy pellets, mini marshmallows, chocolate candies (kisses), crushed grahams, candy sprinkles, crushed choco cookies and cornflakes.

THE MONDE MAMON

The Monde Special Mamon is made of real fresh eggs, imported flour and milk, it is fluffy, moist and light. The right amount of sweetness it has, made it a tonsil /slash/ teeth friendly snack for my kid. I prefer Monde Mamon among other brands because it is healthy, big, siksik (hindi ampaw) and definitely affordable. The classic mamon is just 10.00 Php in the market while the choco filing is around 15 Php. I would recommend this to my family, and friends as well (perfect pabaon sa mga kids).

Additional treat Our Monde Cream Puffs with Chocolate and Custard filling (Yummy!)

THE WINNING MOMENT

I am familiar with some Do IT YOURSELF Projects such pizza, ice cream and cakes but Mamon? really? how come it didn't crossed my mind for so long, oh well now I know. It was such a great idea! an affordable and easy to do activity for family to bond and share.

Before we start our decorating activity I bought some of the ingredients for my homemade whipping cream.

  • Cream
  • White Granulated Sugar
  • Softened Butter
  • DutchMill Yogurt Drink (small))
First time to try this one and surprisingly it tastes so GOOD!

After I blended and mixed all the ingredients together I let it chill in the fridge for about 10 minutes. Then it became fluffy and ready for whipping.(Put it inside the Pastry bag,be careful because it can really get messy, lol)

Time to remove Mamon from the packaging and place it on a clean plate. Then prepare to decorate.

I suggest you let your imagination work for you (like in my case). Okay so no one would dare to try this whipping thing so I have no other choice but to do it for them and for them to be ready on the outcome. (lol)

So far that's where my imagination took me. Just a simple whip on top of the Special Mamon. One Flat, the other one with layer if you'll see it closely (lol) and one with of course the nickname of my little girl just for a change.

Why so serious darling? McKenzie looking closely and attentively on my whipping techniques (lol).
The first two was my creation (trial and error)

OUR TIME TO DECORATE

My Whipping techniques (needs more practice I guess...)

Her turn to decorate :) and she had fun. I told her to start putting some toppings she likes and I was so thrilled to see her way of getting it done. She started to pick up the spoon (good job baby) and started to do her thing. I just want her to explore and imagine and the result was satisfactory.

OUR MASTERPIECE

Tada! here is our well thought design (it is our first time so please bear with us. lol)

Mommy's Creation - Balloon Inspired

Little McKenzie's Creation

Daddy's Creation (sort of, not to mention he loves to eat kisses too!)

So what do you think? It didn't stayed long in this plate by the way.

This was how I planned to make the (last leg of) summer with my family a worth while and unforgettable bonding experience and it was a success. The energy, the excitement, the chaos (reality bites, lol) and the love this activity had brought to us were remarkable and we will surely do this again and again. Thank you MONDE and NUFFNANG for this wonderful experience.

This is Our Winning Moment!
