Magnum Manila Experience |
I had a chance to visit Bonifacio High Street last month and since SM Aura is just a stone throw away (we took a cab though) my husband agreed to bring me there to visit Magnum Manila. Finally the long wait is over and was able to treat my cravings for sweets that day. Thanks to my ever supportive husband lol. If you are a chocolate lover or a sweet tooth make sure not to miss this one. This restaurant is not just a typical resto that will just serve you with a Magnum Ice Cream, i'd like to say it offers the ultimate Magnum Manila Experience and it will surely test your taste buds and tonsils if I may add. Magnum Manila is a pop up pleasure store that will likely to last for a year. (Yap, you read it right - ONE YEAR Only, so make sure to visit it when you happen to be near SM Aura).
I initially thought of just trying out their create your own Magnum and then leave. But when I entered the store I had a second thought and wishes to stay longer. Since the store will be up for a limited time this year I choose to feel the vibe inside the dining area. We can always go back if we wanted to treat ourselves with pleasurable desserts from Magnum (so I'd skipped that part for now).
Here's what we had from MAGNUM MANILA
THE RESTAURANT
Upon reaching the 5th Floor of SM AURA you will be see a lot of Greens and bars around - The Sky Park Dining . On the right side, the first restaurant to welcome you is of Magnum Manila. The ambiance is quite intimidating (looks really expensive) but upon entering you will be greeted warmly by their staff and they will make you feel at home.
You'll see this bar where "Create your Own" Magnum is being done (where the magic happens). Here you can choose up to three toppings to put on top of your Ice Cream - now that's pleasurable. You can create your own Magnum for only 100.00 Php.
Moving forward you will see this large display area at the center of the store. The display were all made of Belgian chocolates.... white and dark ones... wow!
The dining area is absolutely stunning! from the intricate design of the murals, glass walls and furniture you couldn't imagine that this store will last in a span of one year only (now that's expensive...lol)
THE FOOD
Since we chose to dine in, we ordered the well known death by chocolate (hubby) and rainbow dream (mine). We also got to try out their shakes in vanilla and chocolate. (That's what I'm talking about -sweetness overload, sorry my dear tonsils).
Death by Chocolate (250.00 Php) |
(Rainbow Dream - 250.00 Php) |
(New Chocolate Shakes - 180.00 Php with thick chocolate droppings on the rim) |
(New Vanilla Shakes -180.00 Php with thick vanilla droppings at the rim) |
THE SERVICE
We were warmly greeted by the staff and assist us on our way to the dining area. She (I forgot the name - sorry) also has time to answer all of our question that morning so thumbs up for that. Even service is pleasurable because the food attendant is warm, friendly and very respectful towards us.
So all in all we have enjoyed visiting MAGNUM MANILA and the experience was great! I'll try their create your own Magnum in my next visit :)
