DIY CANVAS TOTE BAG

Fabric, needles, sewing machine, beads and laces are some of the things I am familiar with. Growing up I developed an interest in sewing or any thing related to crafting mainly because of two reasons; (first) dress making was our family's bread and butter and (second) it was nice to see how my ideas are being transformed into reality. The first item I sewed was a tote bag and it was during my childhood years. I used some leftover printed fabric and put some velcro in the middle to secure my things inside. It's been a decade since the last time I run a high speed sewing machine so going back to Mama's shop was a right decision. I have a canvas fabric which I bought from a craft store in Makati I decided to turn it into Tote bags.

Last Saturday I was able to spent three hours of my day in front of a sewing machine. I was able to finished four canvas tote bags within three hours (not bad). I didn't have any particular design in mind I just let my ideas flows naturally (come what may! ha ha). I found some leftover decorative ribbons in one of the old cabinet and decided to incorporate it onto the bag. Here's a closer look of what I have accomplished :) ▼

MY DIY CANVAS TOTE BAG

It is simple and classic but I am happy about how my ideas turned out. I love canvas tote bag, it's easy to make, clean, fold able and washable.  It is practically helpful in case I run into some errands too.

Simply awesome!:) You can do it too....
