I was checking on my drafts and saw this entry and wow how can i forget to publish this on time. This photo was taken two months ago right after our Repub1ic Wake park visit. My husband and I headed to Tagaytay to experience Concha's Garden Cafe - one owned by Mr. Alden Richards.
I am a proud AlDub/Maiden supporter/ not just fan by the way so going to Concha's that day was definitely a part of the itinerary. Though we have no idea where Cliffhouse is located, I still chose to pay a visit.
The funny thing is I am no good in reading maps. I even wonder whether a manual compass and i will be friends in the future (seriously). However, the husband willingly lend me his mobile and asked me to rely on google maps. I have warned him but he has strong faith in me (lol) so off we go. We passed the Bags of Beans near Rotonda, Starbucks and even Sky Ranch when we finally realize we're lost. When we saw the "Welcome to Mendez sign" we immediately turned back hoping to find the place successfully. We lost twice, we parked at a wrong place (haha), my fault.... I admit. I guess my husband know now never to depend on my map reading skills (lol)

Naliligaw Face vs. Nakarating sa Wakas na Face :) hahaha |
We we're arguing one moment and laughing hard after that particularly scenario. And finally, we arrived at the right place having this beautiful view from The Cliff house.

It's always nice to be go back in Tagaytay every now and then. Many will agree that a visit in this place will not be complete without the seeing the Majestic Taal Volcano.

We took some more pictures and headed to the cafe after. Our favorite part was when we were greeted warmly by the staff and assisted us all the way inside the cafe. Not being bias here, but I like how casual, courteous and friendly the order taker was. (I couldn't recall the name of the order taker but I hope I still got it right - Michael? thanks for assisting us).

While waiting for our Orders...
|
While waiting for our orders to be served, I had a chance to look around from inside the cafe (most of the guests would like to eat outside at the garden). What really caught my attention was particularly this rustic interior at the cafe that is giving us a very homey feeling. The lighting fixtures in particular, the heavy woods and brick materials are well blended.
Here's what we ordered for Lunch...
