HK DISNEYLAND (DAY 2: HONG KONG TOUR)

Ni Hao! Kamusta kayo?! :)

This is the continuation and the final leg of our quick yet jam packed Hong Kong trip. It's almost three weeks since our HK trip ended but I still feel excited writing details about it (hehehe). No need for a long intro, co'z the title and my photo already says what is it all about. ☺

We haven't been to any Disney Parks before so visiting HK Disneyland is something we cannot miss out. They say it is the smallest Disney Park in the world but to tell you honestly we got overwhelmed by the prodigious size of it.

It was past four in the afternoon when we arrived at Disney. We rode the MTR from Tsing Yi going to Sunny Bay Station and then transferring to the cutest Disney Train that brought us directly to Disneyland Resort.

We did enjoy the Mickey Train Ride ♥
We alight from the train and this magical vibe welcomes us. It isn't the entrance of the themed park yet. It was actually the entrance/exit point of Disney Resort MTR.

Go beyond the gate and you'll find this. Watch the video below.

The whole stretch of land you see in the video above was where transport terminal is stationed. See this arc and walk around 20 minutes or more to reach the Surfing Mickey in the other end.

Tired of walking but all smiles. ☺

Say hello to Mickey! then turn right and see the entrance of the park. From there you'll get through their security and ticketing booth.

Luckily, after security checking, we were assisted by one of the staff to go directly to the last window. We didn't have to line up together with the other guests and that's an advantage. We got our One day pass for 589 HK$ each.

Then we proceeded to the Main entrance and that's where our journey to the Happiest Place on Earth started. (Um- Aura talaga ako sa lahat ng entry points eh noh... hehehe)

Disneyland Railroad at the background

Ayan na! maiba naman hehehe :) pero pati sa pagkuha ng map eh pinicturan pa din ako ng asawa ko so... step by step talaga? Tutorial ang peg. Hahahaha

Grab a map (or other info. brochures if you want) from the shelves for your guide. We initially wanted to see the afternoon parade but since we are running out of time we decided to settle on watching the closing parade instead.

There were actually three things that we wanted to accomplish inside Disneyland. First, make sure to experience the Ironman 3D Simulator. Second, ride the parachute drop and third, (which is mostly my choice) watch the parade and the fireworks display at night. I was thinking to experience some not so kiddie rides but the line and waiting time during that time was 40 mins. So we end up making ourselves busy to some other attractions around the park.

For now, allow me to tour you around Disneyland HK by means of these pictures we took inside the park.

READY?

Taralet's pasok tayo... hahaha (your guide ang peg)

The Journey begins at...

THE MAIN STREET

The Main Street is where the meet and greet (Disney Characters) takes place. See Mickey and Mini in this photo? We do not have enough time to wait and line up so getting a photo like this is good for me, just look how beautiful the flowers are. hehehe

The Pooh Corner at the other end of the street is where Queen Elsa and I exchanged pleasantries. I forgot to take a photo of her though she in a hurry eh. Perhaps she still needs to entertain other guests in her palace hehehe..

You got to see some of the attractions here like the Art of Animation. Every building along this stretch are all instagrammable. However, you have to have good timing to get the best photo of yourself such as this one (hahaha)

(w/out a photo bomber) since it is such a busy street.

The park also has a wide selection of novelty and souvenir stores. It is Disneyland so don't be surprised on the price of goods they are selling inside.

Walk further the end of Main Street and you'll see the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

On this spot, we found the band playing cheerful dance music. On the right, you'll find Tomorrowland where the famous Orbitron, Buzz Lighter and Iron Man Experience is placed.

While on my left is the Adventureland where Tarzan, the Jungle, Big Grizzly Mine, Mystic Manor among others are located. But first, let me first bring you in and on the other side of the Sleeping Beauty Castle. we'll get back to those attractions later.

Aurora's Castle at the background....

A real castle (hehe) built with bricks, woods and iron bars. Below is well, just me doing the whateve's pose finally got to have a photo without anyone in the background but the bricks. LOL

Walk further towards the entrance of the castle and you will find...

Around this, area you'll find Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the Fantasy Garden and the one that we really took a time to visit and experience... The Fairy Tale Forest.

Though we understand that this attraction is mainly about stories of the well- loved Disney Princesses we still enjoy passing in every point of it. Watching kids having a good time pushing buttons, driving wheels, ringing some bells and a lot more together with their parents. What excites us the most is that we get to see unexpected offerings.

This one below is from the Movie "Tangled" I believe so. I saw it on youtube before. The nicest thing about this one... those lights was actually floating up and down together with the music. It amazes me.

These garden also got some interesting plants and flowers such these...

We really had a fun time on this one. :)

Time is running and we still got a lot of attractions to discover. It's getting dark so we move to the West side of the Park and found more.

First stop... The TOY STORY LAND

TOY SOLDIER PARACHUTE DROP

We didn't get a chance to ride the parachute drop because it's under maintenance and not operational during that time. (We only got to stare at it. Huhuhu)

Anyways, it's okay we'll make sure to experience (ride) this one on our return.

GARDEN WONDERS, MYSTIC MANOR & MYSTIC POINT

A closer look of the Mystic Manor. This looks like Jasmin's Castle for me... hehehe

Zeus look a like or it is Zeus replica? hahaha

Got some heartfelt laughs while walking and taking photos at Geyser Gulch & The Big GRIZZLY MOUNTAIN

Railway exists inside Disney Park as well as a river. Turn left, walk a few more steps and you'll find the Jungle River Cruise and Tarzan Tree-House.

There's nothing much you can do here other than to appreciate the Jungle through the cruise. Again we didn't experience cruising on the Jungle because of the long line. But we got to appreciate this attraction from a distance. Did you see the burning Torch around the Jungle from the above photo? they're real. Making it more real whilst the background (jungle) music is being played.

That ends our trip on the West side of the Adventure Land.

It was getting dark and we have to catch up for the one we really came for.

THE IRON MAN EXPERIENCE

- situated on the East Side of the Park. We set our feet at Tomorrowland.

The place where Orbitron, Buzz year and Tony Stark Industries are located.

I was really aiming to meet Tony Stark but I guess he's busy as ever. Charot!

We got to experience Ironman and it was awesome. I will never ever forget my husband's reaction while he was in his seat. I was laughing so hard. Hahahaha... I guess, he felt it (action) more real than I did. Hahahaha ☺

So here are some of the interesting sightings we have inside Stark Laboratory.
You have to wear these 3D Glasses before entering the simulator room.

The long queue inside heading to simulator room. We've spent around 20-25 minutes in the line and we got to see various display inside.

Short clips of Stark Industries are being played on the big screens so you won't get bored while waiting.

It's already dark when we left the building and saw few people roaming around at the facade. That's when we realised they might be gathering around the park in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle getting ready for the parade.

We decided to grab some snacks first and proceeded to find our spot so we can see the parade upfront. By the way, the park has different restaurants and food outlets offering a different menu but the price is a little bit pricey. We bought a popcorn from one of the carts near the garden for 38 HKD each. (Price is 2x higher than the usual)

We waited for about 30 minutes seating on the floor like the rest of crowd. After a while, we started hearing music being played from behind. The parade has started. Here are some of the photos we've taken during the parade. We only got few pictures since it's dark and we thought we would appreciate it more if captured on video instead. hehehe

When we saw Mickey we decided to transfer somewhere near Main Street because Joshua was starting to feel pain on his back. We decided to have a decent seat to relax on near the Novelty Shop.  We were supposed to watch the fireworks display, so I settle on this view from afar. But then decided to skipped the fireworks display and leave the park by 8 pm. Joshua was not in the mood already because of the back pain he got and the cool weather is not helping him either.

Off we go and returned at Disney MTR Station.

We bid goodbye to the surfing Mickey again and headed to the train station.

We boarded the Disney Train that will send us back to Sunny Bay Station then ride another train (Tung Chung Line) to bring us back to Tsing Yi.

We arrived at Tsing Yi MTR Station before 9 pm and since it was the last leg of our trip, we decided to return our Octopus Card (got our refund) and paid HK Coins for riding a bus 88F going back to The Rambler Garden Hotel.

Though we only got less than 4 hours to spend at Disneyland, we still appreciate everything we have experienced inside the park. Now we understand why tickets were being sold for 1 or 2-day pass, hehehe. Considering we came there on a lean month and in the afternoon, the crowd is still huge and the waiting time was quite long. So it is recommended, you go there and spend your whole day in the park, especially when you are a first timer. If your main purpose is to visit the park and experience ALL the rides, watch the shows and take pictures with Disney Characters (waiting time: eats up a lot of time) thus you are required to spend a whole day or two to make most of what Disney has to offer.

Tired but all smiles. We're  happy to have experienced HK Disneyland for the first time. :)
