HAPPY BAKING!

Finally.... after so many years. I was able to bake again and this time I am BAKING from home.

I've been wanting to learn how to bake pastries, cakes, pizza, pasta and other bake treats from home. But aside from not having a strong background about baking, I also do not have tools and oven to even begin with. I also have this notion that baking in general are quite meticulous and intimidating. I assume, if I make one mistake all of the ingredients I bought might go directly to wasteland. Okay, I sounded so negative here (ha ha ha), believe it or not, it is with the same reason why I desire to learn all about baking.

And so I proceeded. I mean, why not try? Life is so much fun when we try to challenge ourselves once in awhile. :)

Besides, it's not that I do not have a zero knowledge about baking at all. I actually do know the basic. As in basic knowledge based on what I learned from the textbook. Unfortunately though, my early baking experiences during our high school project did not help me either. A baking project was my first unsolidified experience about this cooking method. I've also spent half a decade being into a restaurant industry when pizza making are known for. However, most of the material we have at store are delivered pre cooked/ pre baked and ready to assemble. The last time I bake was two years ago. It was thru a special invite for mommy bloggers who wanted to learn baking. Isa ako sa mga mapalad (hehehe) na napili. We made a muffin and a cake for mother's day celebration. So Maya Kitchen is one of the most memorable experience that I have.

Pero sadly, hindi na nasundan yun. Uhmmm... until two months ago.

When I decided to reward myself an oven. Well, it's a half half actually, since we really need to buy a new cooking range. Our stove are all dilapidated and unsafe so I had no other choice but to finally buy one, a cooking range with a cooktop and an oven.

I bet you know how excited I was? a day after it was delivered I got to test it and was able to bake my very first recipe.... yup, those balls below.

Choco Almond Cookies was my first successful baking attempt. Those balls eventually flattens when cooked and turned to get crunchy from the outside and soft, chewy from the inside.  How sweet was that?  (hehehe)

I got positive feedbacks out of these cookies, I decided to bake another recipe week after week.  From pizza, pasta to pastries I enjoyed preparing and cooking all these good treats.

And Chicken Stuffed- dishes and my favorite homemade Lasagna! Yup, down here is my own version of round Lasagna. :)

Special thanks to Tasty and some other sweet baking tutorial channels from youtube. I was able to happily bake these simple recipes from home.

It's exciting to learn more and try different recipes from time to time and I am enjoying every moment that I got to prepare these good treats for myself and my two loveys. I think aside from painting, baking is currently my favorite past time. (He he he)

Looking at these pictures now, I suddenly remember I got something to bake this coming weekend. I just hope I can share it with you thru this blog or if not go check my instagram coz that's where I get to instantly share my life happenings (mostly) real time. Hehehehe

Looking forward to Saturdays!
