DAY 1: BORACAY ISLAND (WATER) ADVENTURE

While waiting for the shuttle that will take us to the right plane :)

A week before our flying date my husband had an accident that I needed to bring him to the hospital and buy crutch to help him walk. I told him it would be impossible for us to go on with our travel with his condition, but he insists, he said he's going to be fine and ready to walk on the day of our actual flight. Then rainy season have started - the rain was pouring so hard for two days already and that time I am almost ready to cancel our trip. Trust me on this one, prayers can really do wonders and I can still remember every details of what had happened  during that day.

OUR FLIGHT AND TRANSFER

We left our home at around 3:30 AM and arrived at Terminal 3 by 4 AM so we manage to check in just in time. Our flight is scheduled at 6 AM. Upon checking and paying necessary fees at the terminal, we headed down to the boarding gate. Our little girl was all awake and having a great time just by looking at the parked planes from the outside.

We boarded a Cebu Pacific flight which based fare was at 12 Php only (Promotional Fare which I booked 7 months earlier). Thank God the rain had stopped during our flight and we arrived at Godofredo P. Ramos Airport in Caticlan, safely. Next we saw the driver (waving my name) from outside the fences and he assist us with our baggage. I didn't told my husband that I had booked a special arrangement for our transfer, so when the driver started the engine, he was wondering why we didn't wait for the other guests and so I told him. Airport to Caticlan Jetty port were about 3-5 minutes ride. From the port we were greeted by another man and transferred our baggage to their banca. The husband was delighted to know that it was a special trip too, we boarded the banca and off we go to Cagban port. It takes us 8 minutes to cross the strait. From Cagban port we saw the hotel van waiting for us from afar so the bangkero's were so kind to carry all our baggage and transferred it to the van. Looking back I am glad I was able to manage all the bookings and special trip arrangement a month long before our trip. Travel and transfers becomes a lot easier for the three of us (on that day I felt like a queen, my husband felt his the king with our little princess in tow).

Thanks to Brendo of LA CARMELA de BORACAY
for making all of my request possible!

OUR STAY AT LA CARMELA DE BORACAY

Upon our arrival at the hotel of LA CARMELA de Boracay we were greeted by the staff and this extremely sweet strawberry cool drinks were served to us (which I still had a few sips). Of course we appreciate the warm welcome. Settled some requirement at the counter and finally they have endorsed to us the key of our room.

Picture and playing around the room. I am so happy that they liked the room.

I booked our hotel accommodation under La Carmela's Holiday Promo Package, which I booked two months in advance. The room amenities is as follows:

SEMI DELUXE ROOM (triple sharing)

- hot/cold shower
- mini-refrigerator
- in-room electronic safe

Inclusions:
3D/2N Room Accommodation
2x Set Breakfast for Two (2) Pax (complimentary)
Round Trip Transfer / Caticlan - Hotel - Kalibo for Three (3) Pax

Resort Amenities:

The room has a veranda (but not beach front, well it would only take you 2-3 minutes walk to the beach so). Pillows and bed linens were decent, clean and soft that makes it comfortable for us to relax and sleep into. The room has good ventilation and air conditioning unit works well. The two huge bed made my little girl to jump non-stop(that's how happy she was). It room has this huge cabinet right behind the door, a vanity mirror and a vault to secure our things.

After we secured our belongings, we didn't waste anymore time. We dressed ourselves into our swimming outfit and off we go to the beach!

We came to experience the fine sand and the clean waters
There were haze and light rain showers by mid morning but that didn't stop us nor our little girl from playing in the sand. The water was clean and warm during that time.

FIRST DAY ADVENTURE (WATER)

On our first day in the island was more into water activities, such swimming and Paraw sailing. We did try to reach Station 1 just by walking on the shore but after 30 minutes of walking and trying, we only reach half of it so we decided to go back (lol). It was fun, since you won't realize you're tired until you see how long the distance you have reached.

We tried the PARAW sailing for the first time, but we didn't fully enjoy it. As you can see on the picture above, the weather wasn't cooperative in Bulabog Beach. Once we were in the middle of our voyage the rain was pouring hard and my little girl got scared and cried up until we reaches back in shore. We were so tired already so we decided to head back to the hotel room to freshen up a little and do some grocery.

My husband decided to buy food for our dinner so he decided to grab one from McDonalds. It was raining hard that afternoon and he told me he did walk through the flooded street of the island. The island experienced a number of power shut down/ brownouts during that night but Thank God our hotel room has a generator so it wasn't bad after all. After dinner we rested early since it has been a long day already and we couldn't do anything because the rain won't stop - End of Day 1
